Values

WSSB Student Reading Braille It is dedicated to addressing the most critical issues facing the blind and visually impaired population: educational achievement, including literacy; independent living; rewarding employment; and access to technology.

The WSBF endorses the following values of the WSSB:
  1. Comprehensive skill development and high expectations for each blind or visually impaired student which are key factors in the future success of each blind/visually impaired person, to include:
    • Braille
    • Independent living
    • Social skills
    • Use of technology
    • Personal management
    • Use of low vision aids and job skills

  2. Literacy for all those who are blind or visually impaired.

  3. WSSB Students Volenteering to Clean Up Local Park Helping families support and understand their blind or visually impaired children.

  4. Development of collaborative partnerships.

  5. Efficient and effective use of resources.

  6. Providing quality training in conjunction with various partners to guarantee a quality work force for the education of blind and visually impaired children.
