Executive Director

Barbara Sheldon brings extensive non-profit, development business experiences to the foundation. She has served as the Executive Director for Silver Buckle Youth Equestrian Center, General Manager for the Vancouver Business Journal, and as an Executive Manager for Target Corporation. She own a four star café along Officers Row in Vancouver, Washington for five years.

Barbara is a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the downtown Vancouver Rotary Club and is the current President of the Women in Action Foundation Board.  She has served on the United Way and Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce East Council boards, has been a Team Captain for the Relay for Life, is a past president for the Human Resource Society at Washington State University, and has been a member of the Society for Human Resources as well as the Southwest Washington Watercolor Society.  Barbara holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Human Resource Management and as a Personnel Psychologist from Washington State University, Vancouver, Washington.
