1. DELTA GAMMA FOUNDATION FLORENCE MARGARET HARVEY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP - $1,000

Purpose: Awarded to an undergraduate or graduate student in the field of rehabilitation and/or education of persons who are visually impaired or blind.
Eligibility: Applicants must be legally blind junior, senior, or graduate U.S. citizens; studying in the field of rehabilitation and/or education of visually impaired/blind persons.
Special Features: Applications must include a typewritten statement, up to two pages in length, describing educational and personal goals, work experience, extracurricular activities, and how scholarship monies will be used. This scholarship is supported by the Delta Gamma Foundation and administered by the American Foundation for the Blind.

2. FERDINAND TORRES AFB SCHOLARSHIP

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to blind students who wish to engage in postsecondary study.
Eligibility: Applicants must be legally blind and reside in the United States, although U.S. citizenship is not necessary. They must present evidence of economic need, legal blindness, and acceptance into a full-time postsecondary program. Preference is given to residents of the New York City metropolitan area and new immigrants to the United States. Applications include a typewritten statement of 3 double-spaced pages describing educational and personal goals, work experience, extracurricular activities, how scholarship monies will be used, and, for new immigrants, a description of the country of origin and the reason for coming to the United States.
Financial Data: The stipend is $1,000.
Duration: 1 year.
Number awarded: 1 each year.
Deadline: March of each year.

3. KAREN D. CARSEL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to a legally blind graduate student.
Eligibility: Applicants must be legally blind U.S. citizens who have been admitted into a full-time graduate program and submit evidence of economic need.
Financial Data: The stipend is $500. Duration 1 year.
Special features: Applications must include a typewritten statement, up to 2 pages in length, describing educational and career goals, work experience, extracurricular activities, and how fellowship monies will be used.
Number awarded: 1 each year.
Deadline: March of each year.

4. R.L. GILLETTE SCHOLARSHIP

Purpose: To assist Legally blind female students attending a four-year baccalaureate degree program in literature or music.
Financial Data: $1,000

5. RUDOLPH DILLMAN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP - $2,500

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to legally blind undergraduate or graduate students studying in the rehabilitation and/or education of visually impaired and blind persons.
Eligibility: To be eligible, applicants must be able to submit evidence of legal blindness, U.S. Citizenship, and acceptance in an accredited undergraduate or graduate training program within the broad field of rehabilitation and/or education of blind and visually impaired persons.
Financial Data: The fellowship award is $2,5000 per year.
Duration: 1 Academic year.
Special Features: Applications must include a typewritten statement, up to two pages in length, describing educational and personal goals, work experience, extracurricular activities, and how scholarship monies will be used.
Number awarded: four each year-three without consideration of financial need and one to an applicant who can submit evidence of financial need.
Deadline: March of each year.
