Text Box: Since you had the chance to become acquainted with me this summer through my letter, I thought it was time to introduce you to the outstanding team working with your student.
Meet The Team
Jean Beary Stolle (SLP) is a Speech Language Pathologist with an Early Childhood/Special Education background.  She has 28 years of experience at WSSB.  This is Jeanie’s 3rd year working in the preschool.  Jeanie works in the classroom with communication activities (snack, schedule, etc.) as well as at lunch and with individual lessons. 
Ashlee Young (COTA/L) is the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant/Licensed.  She also has Early Childhood Education credentials, and previously taught Head Start.  This is Ashlee’s 2nd year working in the preschool.  She leads Brain Gym during Circle Time.   She works with students during lunch as well as with individual/large motor group sessions. She works under the direction of Liz McPhee (OT, Occupational Therapist) and Terry Allen (PT, Physical Therapist) who evaluate and consult monthly with the team.
Judy Koch Smith (COMS) is a Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist who has 28 years of experience.  This is her 14th year at WSSB.  Judy has extensive work and training with Early Childhood Education, Multi-Handicapped, and Learning Disabled populations.  This is her 2nd year with the WSSB Preschool. She had previously worked with a preschool program in California.
Teri Philips (TA) is the Teaching Assistant in our preschool.  Teri has 2 girls of her own.  This is her 2nd year working with the WSSB preschool students.  Teri enjoys the students and is excited about the year.  
Jen Butcher (Fitness) has worked with the preschool  program for the last 3 years.  She works with the students on swimming skills.  Jen is a Bronze Medalist Paralympic swimmer.

The following days are days when there will be no preschool.  
November 17  DSB Preschool Conference (We’ll be sending out registration information soon.  Plan on attending this informative event.  It runs through November 18 for parents.
December 22—January 5  Winter Break
March 9  Washington Statewide In-service Day
April 2-6  Spring Break
May 2-4  Preschool Conference 
June 14  Last day for preschool—
WSSB has a picnic/awards program that evening.  Plan on attending.

Jen Hervey (Music) Jen works with our class 2 days a week on singing and playing instruments.  She has a background in Music Therapy as well as being a professional musician. She teaches music braille.  This is her first year working with our preschool program. She worked with the Birth—5 Program at the Maryland School for the Blind.
